I've been involved with animals my whole
life. I grew up showing horses and have always had dogs. I come
by my love of dogs genetically, my grandfather, an old southerner
raised hounds and I always remember being around dogs. The photo
here is a picture of my father and his Bull Terrier, Jack. This
photo was taken in NC in 1942.
I've had German Shorthaired Pointers all of
my adult life, Snert a huge rescue GSP was my first. He cemented
my love for the breed with his wonderful temperament.
I started in the dog game in 1993. Like many people, I started with an obedience class because I had a problem dog. That problem dog is Sigfried the Bad. I had a chance to meet other dog people and joined the Rio Grande Obedience Dog Club. One thing led to another and I got my 1st conformation dog in 1997 finished her owner handled in 1999. In 2000 I added a second breed to my household, a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. I had a Cardigan as a child when we lived on the farm in North Carolina. Stoney was my 1st Cardigan and they are a lot like potato chips you can't have just one Cardigan, plus I've been told they fit my personality: short and bossy.
